Who are we and where do we come from?
Our company was formed in 1981 to provide components for the manufacturers of hydraulic actuators and equipment. Within a short time we were designing and manufacturing hydraulic products of the best quality, specializing in hydraulic cylinders. We used our design and engineering experience of more than 40 years in the industry, working with original equipment manufacturers, to create a product line that has provided our customers with the best service and quality initially in the Southern California area and throughout the nation.

Product Line Acquisition
In May of 1993 Cal-West Machining, Inc. acquired the Densmore Engineering product line.   In addition to supporting our own product line we also provide service, parts, repairs including new production cylinders for the Deci Product line.

Engineering
Today's engineering staff at Cal-West has more than 60 years combined experience in the design and manufacturing of hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders, swivels and related components.  Our Products for all applications are engineered, designed and manufactured here at our Orange, California plant location utilizing modern computer cad/cam technology.

Equipment
Our production plant is equipped with today's modern cnc precision machines and the latest digital wire fed welding equipment.  Cal-West Machining, Inc.  service department is also set up to repair, completely refurbish, or modify most hydraulic cylinders manufactured by any American or European company.

Cal-West Machining, Inc.  equipment includes the latest CNC machine tool technology.  This assures our customers of a higher degree of quality  due to consistent uniformity and accuracy of component parts, as well as maintaining competitive pricing and faster product delivery.
Before our hydraulic cylinders assemblies are painted or otherwise processed they go through a complete static hydraulic proof test at 150% of their working pressure.  This is to assure all of our customers that Cal-West has thoroughly inspected and tested their cylinders before any leakage from defects can cause downtime of their product.

Cal-West cylinders are being used on earth removal equipment, tunnel boring and mining operations requiring thousands of cycles of continuous service.
